Excellent value - all most people actually need

This is an excellent little flash. For such a low price compared to its big brothers, it will do almost everything they can do, and do it just as well. It is light, small, and tucks away nicely in my camera bag. It is very quick to pull out and use, charges quickly after each shot and gives great bounce light. It is all most people actually need. It won't provide bounce flash if you turn your camera sideways, so just adapt and make a bounce card (see Ken Rockwell for his suggestion -> http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/sb400.htm). And, although this is rated to provide flash coverage only for 18mm lenses and above, it actually nicely covers my 10mm wide angle lens with no noticeable vignetting. For this price, size and portability and capability, you'll be very happy.
